Blue Bio Value Ideation Azores took place online in December 2020 (9th, 10th and 11th) in collaboration with the University of the Azores. This event was in the context of the Blue Azores program.
A total of 17 Participants were selected and 5 projects were created.
After 2,5 days of intense work, projects were selected as winners on the Final Pitch Ceremony: Azores Shrimp, Begs & Bags and Rare Earth Elements and Lithium.
The 3 teams won remote mentorship sessions with Bluebio Alliance and 4 workshops with Fábrica de Startups to consolidate their business idea and to support them on the validation of their business model that should be achieved at the end of this period. During this period, winners will also have the organization support to prepare their applications for the next level: the Blue Bio Value Acceleration Program edition in 2021.
Blue Azores is a partnership between the Regional Government of the Azores, the Oceano Azul Foundation and the Waitt Institute. The program intends to protect, promote, and value the blue natural capital of the Azores archipelago, by focusing on the conservation and sustainable use of resources, involving education, economy and fisheries management, together with local, regional, national and international partners.
